At the beginning of 2021, Verolme Special Equipment was declared bankrupt as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shortly after the bankruptcy, Verolme was able to make a new start (as Verolme BV) because PTD offered the trustee the best deal. PTD’s offer was considered the best by the trustee, because PTD’s offer was in the best interests of creditors, employment, and the organization’s future. This allows Verolme to continue with part of the original work at a new location.
